Once upon a time on a hot summer day, a crow was very thirsty. It flew from one place to another in search of water. But it could find no water anywhere.

Suddenly it saw a jar under a tree. At once the crow flew down & sat on the jar. It looked into the jar. The jar had a little water. But the crow couldn't reach it. It looked around & saw some pebbles. It picked up the pebbles one by one with its beak. It dropped them into the jar. Soon the water came up to the mouth of the jar. The crow drank the water & flew away happily.
